I hope this doesn't been Imy latest changes will be overwritten by The new drive appears to be backing things up OK - and I do need to do a file-by-file comparison.Ĭurrently (and bizarrely), although I haven't turned OneDrive sync'ing back on yet, OneDrive has suddenly started downloading all my files (currently it has downloaded 6.8 GB of 55.8 GB). However, aecause my new USB backup drive comes with its own backup software, I don't need Windows 7 Backup any more. (sorry, I didn't note the long error code). Up to that point, Windows 7 Backup was persistently failing to complete - with some kind of timeout waiting for both Documents and Pictures I've been delayed because (unconnected to the above), my USB backup drive failed (the one I used Windows 7 Backup with). It also begs the question of which of the two I should be doing my work in. Both are populated with my various Documents sub-folders, but I will need to do a complete file-by-file comparison In File Explorer, I can see a folder called D:\Documents and another called D:\OneDrive\Documents. I disabled OneDrive sync'ing and then used File Explorer to move (not copy!) Documents up a level. I am still trying to get my head around what is going on.
